Developing indicators for the measurement of good governance in candidate countries for membership in the EU – Index of Good Governance in Macedonia.

The project overall objective is to foster anticorruption and good governance practices. The Index of good governance measures the level of good governance in the central institutions in Macedonia. It operationalizes the principles of good governance (transparency, accountability, responsiveness, participation and effectiveness) through 133 indicators grouped in eight categories of good governance.

The research was carried out between May and September 2015 over a sample of 19 institutions of the central government as are: Government of the Republic of Macedonia, 15 ministries, Health Insurance Fund of Macedonia (HIF), Pension and Disability Insurance Fund of Macedonia (PDIFM) and the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia.
