Risto Karajkov is a PhD candidate in development at the University of Bologna, Italy, where he writes his thesis on “Foreign Aid to the Balkans.” He has 10 years of experience in civil society and international organizations in the Balkans. Risto currently works as a freelance analyst and consultant. He writes frequently on Balkans political affairs and collaborates with a number of media and think tanks. He holds fellowships from Johns Hopkins University and UNU WIDER in Helsinki.
